CATA is a Florida native and NYC-based DJ, producer, songwriter, and music industry professional with significant industry experience at the intersection of music, business, tech, and IP law. Her passion for music, emotion, and experimentation, along with her desire to escape the confines of a single genre, enable her to transcend the typical boundaries of techno while always staying true to her sound. Inspired by the sound of 90’s rave and all things acid, CATA infuses melodic synths with acid-drenched basslines to take listeners on an emotional journey through space and time. She has performed in many of NYC’s most beloved venues, including H0L0, Market Hotel, and Bossa Nova Civic Club, and has shared the stage with renowned artists such as WNDRLST, Raven, and D4N. Her recent releases on TETE VIDE, Bass Water Freak Out, Backpocket Slammers, Lambratech, and Ovelha Trax have also garnered support from various international artists and have been played in clubs and festival stages across the globe.
