Resonating with obscured glossy sounds that have been injected by unapologetically queer artists in the Hyperpop / Bubblegum Bass scene; Hijac finds himself making music balanced between the textured world of poppy synthetic melodies, and the punchy rhythms of Tropical Bass, Baile Funk and Trap World genres. It is this hybridity that places Hijac comfortably in the niche of the evolving dance scene. Through versatile production, the London-based producer's debut single ‘Go’ gained a multitude of support and was featured on Annie Nightingale’s BBC Radio 1 show, Crik Crok Radio Italy and NRK Radio Norway and Solace radio; gaining support by world-leading DJ Borgore. In May 2020, his second track ‘Wanna Call?’ featured in a collaborative pop album released by labels DESKPOP and Hyperpop; praised for its sweet-as-candy pop palate with an unexpected tropical bass climax. Hijac followed this with another tropical bass influenced track: ‘Rubber’, released by Don Records.
