The French duo Jahneration, formed by Théo and Ogach, came together in 2009 when these two school friends decided to exchange Punk Rock for Reggae. Musicians since their early childhood, they compose, write, and sing in English mixed with Jamaican patois. In love with the Jamaican island and its music, the duo draws inspiration from it by making frequent trips there: in 2017, they recorded with their musicians in the famous Marley family studios, "Tuff Gong Studios." This was followed by notable collaborations with major names in international Reggae such as Alborosie, Queen Omega, and many French artists (Manu Chao, Dub Inc, Danakil, Naâman…). The encounter with Naâman in 2011 marked a turning point in the careers of the two music enthusiasts, who recorded "Me Nah Fed Up": a Reggae/Hip Hop track that left a lasting impression on young Reggae fans and ensured them a loyal first audience. In 2015, Jahneration signed with the independent label Ovastand, placing them in the contemporary music scene. Over 8 years, they toured France and its overseas territories, Europe, India, and Canada, performing more than 400 concerts. Starting with opening acts in most venues and Zéniths in France, they eventually filled the Olympia in 2022. With four albums and a mixtape featuring their famous concept of the Mic Sessions, Jahneration has become a key player in French Reggae. Prolific, creative, and powerful on stage, they attract a diverse audience with their modern and dynamic Reggae.
