Multi-awarded singer/songwriter Davey Langit, kickstarted his career as a Finalist in ABS-CBN’s reality show Pinoy Dream Academy. His first radio hits were “Cool Off” & “Time In,” both interpreted by Yeng Constantino. In 2013 "Selfie Song" became viral. It reached the top of radio and music video charts across the country. He followed this up with “Wedding Song,” another beloved internet hit. In 2014, he was a Finalist for the Philpop Music Festival with “NGSB". He bagged First Runner-Up the next year with “Paratingin Mo Na Siya”. In 2016, he won Grand Prize with “Dalawang Letra” in ABS-CBN’s Himig Handog Songwriting Competition. “Dalawang Letra” also won him his first Awit Award for Record of the Year. In 2019, Davey joined Himig Handog again with Therese Villarante-Langit. They won First Runner-Up for “Simula ng Dulo.” Davey released his first full length, all-original album “Biyaheng Langit” under Star Music. He garnered two more awards for his autobiographical song, “Idjay.”; Best Regional Recording, & Best Performance by a Male Artist. Davey, an Ilocano, is now spearheading AmiananPop. It aims to champion the culture through songs written in their local vernacular, together with his wonderful team of fellow songwriters with Northern lineages. His songwriting versatility has led him to many collaborations with brands, agencies, and other renowned artists. Davey also writes for films, and commercials. He continues to tell his stories.
