Afrobeat prodigy, Mobolaji Ayomide (Sixties) also known as (Fìríyoyo) is impossible to ignore as an Afrobeat singer-songwriter in Nigeria. Born and raised by Yoruba parents in Surulere Lagos. Journeying into music in 2019, when he realized that he had a voice that needed to be heard. Dropping off his first single 'Maria' in 2020 during the COVID pandemic, he was able to get the attention of listeners and he began to grow his fanbase. As a Yoruba man, his culture inspires his global approach to music, art, and life. Drawing inspiration from musical legends like King Sunny-Ade, Musiliu Haruna Ishola, Wande Coal and Pasuma, his music largely speaks culture and Tradition. His strength comes from a close-knit family of music lovers, having a mum who is a Gospel singer and a choir mistress, she serves as an inspiration to him. His unconventional style of fashion is also one of the ways he expresses art. He is a sole lover of " High fashion" and " Avant-garde" and draws inspiration from fashion icons like Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Rick Owens, Bloody Osiris, Demna Gvasalia, and other 90's fashion icons. With so much groundwork already, Sixties isn't here to take any chances and if that opportunity strikes today, he's coming in hard and strong...It is safe to say that Sixties is here to stay!
