An acclaimed new age / jazz guitarist and composer, Shambhu's latest single with flugelhorn maestro, "Montauk to Mexico" dropped on May 31st. The Marin Independent Journal calls Shambhu "a consummate guitarist". Through a blend of folk, Indian and jazz styles, his music eases the busy minds of students, yogis, and the overworked. Common Ground says, “Shambhu is at once precise, skilled, sensitive and inventive way beyond the norm." Shambhu’s 2023 release, "Lazy Afternoon", won Best New Age Acoustic Song and his 2022 release, “Life Passage”, won Best Acoustic Album at the New Age Radio Notes Music Awards. Shambhu's 2021 single, "Heart Awakening", won Best Acoustic Single at the One World Music Awards. Shambhu's second album, 'Dreaming of Now" (2013) won Best Contemporary Instrumental Album at the ZMR Music Awards. Shambhu is featured on Whitney Houston’s “Whitney”, Jeff Oster's “Next”, “Ricochet – The Echoes Living Room Concerts (Vol 20)”, two Will Ackerman compilations, “The Gathering” I and II (I-ZMR “Best Album of the Year"), “The Guitar - The Best of New Age Reviews”, on “The Minstrel’s Return,” and on Ann Licater's “Doorway to a Dream”.
