The rap trio consisting of Zo Zhit, TaiTan, and Botsu aka NGS announced their contract with the American label Deathbomb Arc in 2018 and released their debut album "Dos City" in March 2019. Since then, they've solidified their position as outliers in the Japanese music scene through performances at various events and festivals, both domestically and internationally, and their own event "Theater D." Their collaborations span beyond musicians like the UK rock band black midi and the US hip-hop crew Injury Reserve, to cross-genre collaborations with Taiwan's IT minister Audrey Tang, author Yasutaka Tsutsui, and manga artist Q Hayashida. In 2021, they also co-planned the program "Futa" with video director Ryohei Kamido, hijacking TV Tokyo's off-air slot and released the album "Larderello," pushing the boundaries of how their work can be expanded. After successfully completing a European tour with black midi starting in October 2022 and a solo European tour in the summer of 2023, they suddenly announced the end of their first phase of activities and declared the beginning of the second phase of Dos Monos starting in 2024.
