Sim Fossil aka Fedor Velyaminov is a DJ, record collector and producer currently based in Paris. Born in Moscow in 1990, Fedor has always been fascinated by electronic music and started producing at the age of 13, firstly inspired by famous house and downtempo artists as King Kooba. Since then, he released several EPs under the alias Cossway on labels such as hedZup, Hatch Rec, Whyostro, Inter Records, Deepology and many others. Now living in Paris, where he works as a graphic designer, he has found inspiration in the rich cultural heritage of the city leading him to launch his new project as Sim Fossil. With his new moniker, he’s now focusing on more underground fields, experimenting in genres as newbeat, downtempo, synthpop or balearic ballads.
