Raised in both New York and The Dominican Republic, Chris Hierro has been writing and producing music from the age of 14. He came up under the tutelage of his father, Dominican legend multi- instrumentalist composer, producer Henry Hierro. Early on Chris acquired an understanding of tropical rhythms and styles. Through his respect and interest in the multitude of music genres Chris was exposed to growing up in New York, he has developed a keen ear for Jazz, Hip Hop, Dance and Rock music. Chris has also worked with and toured as a keyboardist and background vocalist for some of Latin music's most legendary stars such as: Carlos Vives, Obie Bermúdez, Leslie Grace, Sebastian Yatra, Erika Ender, Don Omar, Milly Quezada and multi-Grammy Award winner Alejandro Sanz among others. In his latest endeavor as an artist, Chris Hierro has joined forces with his wife, singer/songwriter Katya Diaz to write and produce songs in a wide variety of styles. Calling themselves ‘Break Out The Crazy’, their music ranges from Country to EDM to Alternative Pop, in English and Spanish hoping to reach the charts in the international market.
