As a son of two musicians, Linus Klausenitzer was faced with music at a very young age. After music studies and having gained international experience in bands of several genres, the German bass player found his main place in the genre that he has always loved most: Metal Music. With the German band Obscura Linus started extensive touring on multiple world tours with such renowned artists as Sepultura and Children of Bodom. Later Obscura started to play headliner tours in Europe, Australia, Central/North America (USA, Canada, Mexico) and Asia (Japan, United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, …). In 2014 Linus co-founded the extreme metal band Alkaloid creating an intelligent and fascinating blend of Prog, Death Metal, and Fusion. In 2015 Alkaloid was the first German Death Metal band to ever perform in Egypt. In 2020 guitarist R. Trujillo, Linus Klausenitzer and drummer S. Lanser decided to move on from the band Obscura and continue their musical path with their new band Obsidious. Through a vote held at the progspace, their debut album "Iconic" was selected as the debut album of the year for 2022. In addition to his band activities, the Ibanez artist is an international bass educator (“Guitar Summit”, “Popakademie Mannheim”, “Bavarian Bass Days”, etc.), session musician for studio recordings and live music (Beyond The Black, Martin Miller, Bernth, Kaoteon,...).
