The adventure of Soda, whose musical background dates back to 2001 and their friendships even longer, begins with the meeting of 6 music enthusiasts born and raised in Istanbul, for university education in another city. In their early 20s, the unruly young Soda puts music at the center of life, produces as much as they can, seizes every opportunity to share their music with the audience on stage and knocks on every door. However, during this period, the band members share the same house and live the rock and roll philosophy up to the end. At the end of the university, the band meets again in Istanbul. All of its members have a profession other than music. Soda, which does not give up its passion for music, is starting to perform regularly in many known venues in Istanbul. Through late 2010s, in which Turkey's social and economic turbulent period, terrorist attacks, pressures on social life and liberty are deeply affect Soda and their music. During this period, the band returns to its core and recreates itself in its cocoon. Soda takes its inspiration from the 2000s, especially by the revolutionary artists who have deeply influenced the art of music in both Anatolia and the western world, and in a sense guided the emotional world of the society.
