Dhanu Kemathas, also known by his music moniker BARS BY DHANU, is a multifaceted artist excelling in the fields of rap, songwriting, and television acting. Kemathas's artistic spark ignited at a young age. Upon moving to Oslo at the age of seven, he embarked on a musical path, studying the South-Indian percussion instrument, Mridhangam, under the tutelage of guru Suntharamoorthy Kanesan. This dedication extended to formal training, with Kemathas achieving graded certification from the esteemed Oriental Fine Arts Academy of London (OFAAL). At 15, his creative drive shifted towards songwriting. He penned his first song for personal enjoyment, marking the beginning of his exploration into music production. After completing his studies in Creative Industries Management, Kemathas fully committed to his acting and rap career. Collaborations with diverse artists and producers across the globe became a hallmark of his creative process. His influences range from the iconic sounds of Eminem and 2Pac to the contemporary stylings of M.I.A., Lauv, and Krayzie Bone. A significant milestone arrived in 2020 with his single "Heaven" receiving airplay on BBC Asian Network's Ashanti Omkar show. This recognition propelled Kemathas further, culminating in the release of his highly anticipated debut album, "Turbulence Love Story," in June 2024. The album boasts collaborations with prominent artists like Aditya Rao and Jithin Raj, alongside production credits for Teezy and Lady Pista.
