RIZZLA is a Toronto based artist, producer and songwriter who moved to Toronto from Tanzania at eight years old. Born Rukun Syed, RIZZLA grew up on the suburbs of Toronto boarder of Scarborough and Markham. In High-school is when he started producing and writing songs but never wanted to put out any music knowing not a lot of people from these ends make it out. Determined to pursue his dreams, RIZZLA studied Audio Engineering at Metalworks where he developed his mixing and mastering skills. It took RIZZLA years to find his sound but when he did, he dropped the song "Bad Gal Like Riri" which was premiered on OVO radio Episode 14th by Drake and Oliver right after they premiered "Work" by Rihanna and Drake. The song went viral doing over 3.2 million streams just on Spotify. NAV also used RIZZLAs vocals on his song "Fell in Love" giving RIZZLA more attention from his fans and the music industry. RIZZLA also Passionate about film, he also studied at the Toronto Film School. There he was able to form a team of like-minded creatives to collaborate with, to create visuals for his videos. Currently, RIZZLA is working on his Project "Complexion" with a variety of different sounds from Afrobeats, RNB, Reggeaton, Trap, and Uk Garage. His Last song "Summer" from his project is on its way to do a Million Streams in the next couple of months thanks to "JustVibing" by having the song on their playlist for a year now!
