Biography

Classically-trained singer, Arman Ferrer, is a sought after tenor and musical theater actor. He has received various recognitions in the Aliw, Gawad Buhay, and Awit Awards. Arman has performed multiple lead roles with Tanghalang Pilipino, Atlantis Theatricals, 9works Theatricals, and Repertory Philippines. His recent appearances were staged at the newly-restored Metropolitan Theater. Among these include the titular role in Lapu Lapu, Ang Datu ng Mactan (2021) to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Battle of Mactan. He also joined Fr Eduardo Hontiveros’ Panunuluyan (2021) as “Jose” and Pasyong Pilipino (2022) as “Hesus.” Arman was also a featured soloist at the Met’s 90th anniversary; and at the Independence Day concert, Bayang Pinapangarap, with Maestro Ryan Cayabyab as musical director. Arman has performed in the ASEAN, APEC, and state visits. His recent projects as a featured soloist include Daluyong ng Diwa at the Dubai Expo 2022; and the CCP anniversary concert, Musikal II. He has also been part of online shows during the pandemic such as Awit at Tula: Pagbabalik-tanaw sa Unang Hari ng Balagtasan (2020) and CCP’s concert series, Kung Hindi Man (2021). Arman is an alumnus and former assistant conductor of the Kilyawan Boys’ Choir under the tutelage of Prof. Mark Anthony Carpio of the Philippine Madrigal Singers. He continuously study and have voice lessons with Baritone Byeongin Park.
