The Honey Straws have a vibrant and welcoming sound, inspired by diverse influences; the heavy fuzzfolk of Neil Young & Crazy Horse, the sonic experimentation of Beck, the sweet harmonies of the Beatles, and the swampy funk of The Meters. The album features 2 duets with Damian and wonderful guest vocalist Elliott Peck (Phil Lesh, Midnight North). Elliott weaves her beautiful harmonies throughout the big Honey Straws sound on several tracks, with stunning results. Featured on 2 cuts is the soulful 3-piece horn section, orchestrated by Andy Falco’s Blues Lab saxophonist Justin Marks.
