Marco Mello is a producer, singer, and lyricist currently orbiting the creative cosmos of Berlin. His tracks fuse funk, soul, and hip hop beats with playful storytelling, creating a musical galaxy that unites past, present and future. In the mid-nineties, Mello's family embarked on a maiden voyage from Germany to the US, landing in the vibrant nebula of Detroit, Michigan. Here, he first encountered the gravitational pull of hip hop culture, a force that has remained a constant in his musical universe. By navigating his way through samples used in classic hip hop tracks, Mello discovered the celestial bodies of the soul, funk, and jazz greats. Inspired by these icons, Mello traded in the art of sampling for the creation of his own cosmic melodies, composing music from the very stardust of the universe.
