DJ Wizdom was 18 when he started his DJ journey in 2007 at Phoenix, AZ. As he was learning the craft on a pair of Stanton turntables at rapid rate, he was also networking so that he may be able to one day play on stage at the local raves and become a “regional hero.” In 2008 he got his first big break when Phoenix local crew, Silent Unspoken Entertainment, led by DJ Silent J, offered DJ Wizdom a slot on the crew and to open, mainstage, at a rave. His performance, admittedly, was less than stellar; but that did not discourage him at all. He studied the technique of his influences, UK based DJ Hype, Los Angeles duo - DJ Circuit and DJ Whizard, Seattle’s finest, Aaron Simpson, and Phoenix’s own Quentin Hiatus, and DJ Travelah; just to name a few. His second show, on the second stage, was leagues better than his first performance just months prior and landed him many more bookings in early 2009. DJ Wizdom’s network and influence was growing; his skills were improving at an alarming rate. Late 2009, he began his producing journey. Influenced by the sounds of the Human Imprint as well as many well known names in the UK around that time and those prior in the 90’s. Taken under the wing of UK’s Bay B Kane, Barcelona’s Sound Shifter, and with the help of the early SoundCloud DnB/Jungle community, he began to improve his skills in order to leave his own legacy within Drum and Bass.
