Singer / songwriter Mohamed Kossay (A.K.A Moviee ) is an African American artist. Although he was born in the US (New Jersey) , Moviee’s parents are both from Sierra Leone with his mother being born in the US also. Moviee is one of the upcoming artist from Sierra Leone that has begun to rise up the rankings fast. Moviee is an Afrofusion artist that is very versatile in many genres of Afrobeats. Moviee mixes Hip-Hop and R&B flows with his african culture turning it into a new sound of Afrofusion that was never heard before that’s always giving you a feel good vibe . Moviee began his music career when he was 20 years old. His first single “ Bumping & Grinding ft. Suwopp & Donkobee” started to gain traction locally before his breakthrough song that he had featured on (Too Fine - Donkobee) went viral on TikTok. Too Fine went on to surpass over 5 million + streams across all platforms and give Moviee about over 30,000 listeners on Spotify. In May 2022 Moviee dropped his first album “Afroworld” alongside his childhood friend Suwopp. Following this album Moviee dropped a tape the next month with artist Gloup called “MoGlo”. These projects started to gain traction quickly across New Jersey as Moviee began to become a household name around his area. In January 2023 Moviee dropped his first solo project called “Afrojersey” with about 10 features. This project features artist Suwopp , Donkobee , HollywoodJah, Shaadey , and etc .
