Mateyko blends an eclectic mix of influences into his compositions, garnering his vocabulary from Ornette Coleman’s mountain-shattering sheets of sound to the timeless grooves of MF DOOM. Mateyko began his career at 10 by performing a multitude of charity events for Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago and the Children's Heart Foundation - born with the heart condition Tetralogy of Fallot, Mateyko could not engage in contact sports with other children, and music provided an outlet to express himself and connect with other people. Mateyko’s dedicated passion for composition, production, and performance provides a sense of escape and exploration to those around him.
