Composer Eitan Steinberg is the recipient of ACUM Lifetime Achievement Award (2014), Landau Prize (2010) and Israel's Prime Minister's Composition Award (2007, 2018). His compositions are frequently performed in his native country of Israel as well as in Europe and the USA, and his unique musical language wins audience and critical acclaim. Steinberg's collaboration with his wife, vocalist Etty BenZaken has yield many original works and many projects of folk arrangements composed for her voice. In 2013 they have founded together the multi-cultural and multi-stylistic ensemble Modalius. Steinberg is a full professor at the Music Department of the University of Haifa.
