Biography

Paweł Przytocki is one of the most talented and exciting Polish conductors of his generation. He studied at the Academy of Music in Kraków (1985). Artistic Director of the Baltic Philharmonic in Gdansk (1988-1991), Artistic Director of the Artur Rubinstein Philharmonic in Łódz (1994-1997),(2017- ), Chairman and Artistic Director of the Philharmonic in Krakow (2008-2013). Guest conductor: Budapest Concert Orchestra, National Philharmonic in Warsaw, Sinfonia Varsovia, Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra,Bilkent Symphony Orchestra Ankara, Slovak Philharmonic, Santiago Philharmonic in Chile, Zagreb Philharmonic, New Haifa Symphony Orchesta,Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Bogota Philharmonic,Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Rhienische Philharmonie Koblenz, Frankfurt Brandenburg State Orchestra. Przytocki has participated in music festivals: Athens Festival, Musikfest Stuttgart, Flanders Festival, La Chaise- Dieu Festival, Kissinger Sommer, Bratislava Music Festival, Prague Spring. Guest performances: Musikverein in Vienna ,Konzerhaus in Berlin,Bela Bartok National Concert Hall in Budapest ,Teatro Municipal in Santiago, Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris , Palais des Beaux in Brussels. His recording of Rachmaninoff`s First Symphony in 1991 "La Folia Music Review Magazine" put it to the world`s five best recordings and compared it to those of Carlos Kleiber and Svjatoslav Richter. Przytocki received the Fryderyk award 2020 for album: "Emil Młynarski: Violin Concertos".
