Born into a French family of music lovers, Caloé grows up surrounded by classical and vocal music. After years of learning the violin, she discovers jazz with her voice, that she quickly uses as an instrument to make improvisation part of her language. Caloé writes words and music (c.f. her album Saisons) and loves to sing her works on stage, where she is always surrounded by the best musicians of the French and international jazz scene. Her own music is made of chanson and jazz, but her connexions to various talented musicians take her to explore samba, bossa-nova, and even soul music and rap.
