While on set throughout her young teens portraying the singer/songwriter ‘Shady Lane/Lily,’ on TV's hit show Radio Free Roscoe, Kate went on to learn guitar and how to write songs. Coming back from living and working in Los Angeles, Kate enrolled at York University studying toward her Bachelor of Music degree while teaching and playing shows with her band. She has two albums ‘Finding My Way’ and ‘Anywhere With You’ under the world’s largest Independent Record Label, eOne Entertainment. Her caliber of songwriting has led her to multiple nominations in the Canadian Songwriting Competition and a 2016 win at the Josie Music Awards in Nashville, TN for 'Versatile Entertainer of The Year' for her proficiency in both music and acting. Her most recent EP release 'One' (Villa Sound) showcased Kate's introspective side of songwriting and allowed her to get back to her alt country rock roots. Most recently, Kate was honoured to be chosen to open for the legendary singer/songwriter Ron Sexsmith at the Historic Gayety Theatre in Collingwood, ON. In 2018, Kate was honoured with a Women's International Acheivers Award for her extensive community service. Over the years, Kate has shared the stage with such well known acts such as Nelly Furtado, The Barenaked Ladies and Great Big Sea. She has played in countless venues in Canada and US and has been featured and nominated in music festivals such as Canadian Music Week, Indie Week, Tin Pan North and Toronto Independent Music Awards.
