The Skunk

Biography

Pelding is a Danish Trip Pop band consisting of Peder (who is also known from the producer team The Prunes), Thor Sørensen and Jonas Engberg. The three got together in 1997 and in 1998 released the EP The Skunk. Three years later, the album Pelding was released, which featured guest performances from, among others, rapper Motion Man, Abdullah S, Maya Albana and Camille Jones. The album was well received and won the Copenhagen Prize for the best music of the year, was named album of the year in Ekstra Bladet and received three nominations for the Danish Hip Hop Award. In 2003, the group reunited with jazz singer Joy Morgan, who had previously worked with Nobody Beats The Beats and The Orb. Together they released the album Spine in 2005. The first single from the album was "No Angel" and the album won in the Danish Urban Release of the Year category at the Danish Music Awards 2006
