My dad took his life in 2017. He never even got to see me perform. When I lost him I knew I had nothing else to lose, and started to pursue music seriously. I remember I had just lost my job. I came home from work and asked him how he was doing. He told me that he felt like killing himself. The next week he was gone. Before I knew it he was taken from me. I never even got to say goodbye. After losing the person who gave light to my world, I decided to live a life he’d be proud of. I became the artist I am now in hopes my music could help people through their own hardships. I want you to know that together we have the strength to get through anything, and that there is always hope. I try to live by that as best I can. I’ve been through so much mentally since my Dad passed, but I managed to come out on top. I persevered. I want you to know that you can too. My name is DMNR Broken (pronounced Damn Near Broken).
