Now that they have found their freedom, Xavi, who goes by his stage name Violet Paniko, is living out his childhood dream as a queer Latin artist. The Southern California native comes from a musically inclined family but was unable to pursue their dreams as a child due to their extreme religious beliefs. Violet Paniko spent seven years of his life in Saint Paul, Minnesota which they credit as the foundation for a lot of personal growth in his life. 
 Leaving their life as a Jehovah’s Witness was one of the hardest things Paniko had to do, but it was an eye-opening experience that led them to therapy, new friends, and other family members who accepted him for who he is. 
 Violet Paniko is currently inspired by Young Miko and Villano Antillano who are critical voices in the queer Latin music space. Paniko hopes to contribute to the Latin Trap community by being his unique and authentic self. They are striving to work with Jessie Reyez, Young Miko, Villano Antillano , Russ, Anderson .Paak, LATENIGHTJIGGY, Snow Tha Product, and Bad Bunny.
