Jahwise made a name in his current base of Melbourne Australia, as a quintessential bass player for any headlining Reggae or Hiphop acts touring 'Down Under', supporting such legendary talents as Steel Pulse and Anthony B. A core member of the backing band for Ras Jah Know for many years, Jahwise developed his skills on both the bass and guitar. The bass soon gripped his attention, as this fledgeling producer grew interested to study bass frequencies. A trip home to Brazil in 2008 had Jahwise sitting in on studio sessions and falling in love with the craft and the art of sound. He enrolled into a sound engineering course and started recording projects for such bands as Rasta Unity. In 2016 Jahwise went to Jamaica and recorded at Tuff Gong Studios, where he had the opportunity to record with notable artists like Lutan Fyah, Derajah, Franklin Bubbler Waul, C Sharp and Wayne Armond. It was a thrilling experience to create music in the homeland of his greatest inspirations such as, Peter Tosh, Dennis Brown, Luciano, Burning Spear and Third World. Today, Jahwise is working with Reggae all star crew Crownheights, playing with Marvin Priest and Rike Ragga. He continues to bring his heavy bass sensibilities to the table when sessioning for Melbourne band, The Natural Order. In between upcoming tour schedules, expect to hear more authentic Roots, Rock, Reggae and more from this talented sound man.
