Biography

"Boriso-Glebsky is an artist with exceptional technical skills and a bold artistic vision." — Weekend Special Boriso-Glebsky's career took off in 2007 with wins at the XIII International Tchaikovsky Competition. His victory at the 2010 Sibelius Competition in Helsinki was a turning point, leading to regular performances with Finnish orchestras. In 2010, he won the Fritz Kreisler International Competition in Vienna. As a resident of the Wiener Konzerthaus since the 22/23 season, he performs chamber music with Narek Hakhnazaryan and Georgy Tchaidze. His international victories have opened doors to leading concert halls worldwide and collaborations with renowned conductors like Sakari Oramo and Klaus Mäkelä. Highlights of his 2023/2024 season include debuts at Carnegie Hall and a tour in China with Georgy Tchaidze. The 2024/2025 season features performances with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, a Japanese tour with the NHK Orchestra, and recitals with Nikolai Lugansky in Spain. In 2019, he recorded an unknown Eugène Ysaÿe concert with the Liege Philharmonic Orchestra, earning a Diapason d’Or for the "A Tribute to Ysaÿe" CD. His repertoire features contemporary works and pieces by 20th-century composers. He is the first performer of several compositions by Rodion Shchedrin, Alexander Tchaikovsky, and Kuzma Bodrov. Nikita plays a violin created by the Austrian master Martin Schwalb in 2020, modeled on the Guarneri del Gesù "Ole Bull" violin from 1744.
