Burak Aydoğduoğlu (born May 31, 1997), known professionally as "Burry Soprano", is a Turkish rapper and songwriter who has become distinguished by his calming, deep vocal style and his extra attention to grammar in the content of his songs. His stage name is the namesake of a favorite TV series character's surname combined with the nickname that comes from his childhood. Soprano signed his first major-label contract with MOB Entertainment in 2018. 2 years later, in April of 2020, he signed a record deal with Sony Music Entertainment. Soprano's first single "Mary Jane" was released in 2018, became his first song to hit the number one spot on the charts in Turkey and Europe, and remained there for about 5 months setting a record. The single managed to attract the attention of music circles from various countries in a short time and brought the artist the best song of the year award. "Mary Jane" was also subject to an access ban by the local authorities on the grounds that it encouraged drug use and the artist was tried for the same reason and sentenced to 4 years and 2 months in prison. His first single, which caused the artist's career to a standstill for a while due to such reasons, was followed by the EP titled "Lambo Italiano" featuring the Italian rapper "Gue Pequeno" in 2020. The artist defines his style as a mixture of chill vocals and a melodic approach to rap productions. Soprano released his first studio album "Koleksiyoner" on 24th of March 2023.
