Tyler Rix is a British singer songwriter and saxophonist who rose to fame in his early teens on BBC 2's 'Classical Star'. Signed by Universal Classics and Jazz, Rix went on to release a number one selling classical saxophone album ‘Ascent’ aged 16. Born in January 1993, Rix was a talented footballer, coming through the West Ham Football Academy and winning the FA Schoolboys' National Cup but after suffering a career ending injury, he hung up his boots to make music his career. Rix studied at the Guildhall School Of Music for 8 years, making guest solo appearances with the BBC Concert Orchestra, Birdland Jazz Club NYC, Anhembi Centre Sao Paulo and the Royal Albert Hall London. Self taught on the piano, Rix started writing and recording his own songs and has collaborated with a number of leading producers, resulting in his first sync with a soundtrack for the movie 'The Misfits Club'. After travelling the world as a saxophonist and international catwalk model, Rix has settled back in North London to write songs about his experiences in life so far; producing, mixing and mastering the majority of it himself.
