Now 4 years into transitioning from spoken word to rapping and producing, FloElle is crafting her own sound and striving to increase her skill set everyday. She has a laidback flow that blends perfectly with her dreamy lo-fi style production. Her love for various genres such as Jazz, R&B, and Psychedelic Rock are reflected in her beats. Pulling inspiration from Women in Hip Hop such as Lauryn Hill, MC Lyte, Eve, and Lil Kim, FloElle has gained the ability to make music that ranges from feeling good about yourself to deeper topics as well. 
Born Leah McCray in Fayetteville, North Carolina, FloElle has always had a love for writing poetry and songs since her childhood, even performing in many talent shows growing up. She would take Spoken Word seriously as a young adult and begin accepting gigs. In 2019 she met a collective called Empac that would help her make her first mixtape, “Flavors”, produced by Buddy Love and released in 2020. Using the recording and mixing skills she learned, and wanting to challenge herself as a producer, she decided to release an EP titled “Fly Girl” in 2021. This project expanded her audience and gave her full creative control for the first time. Most recently she has released a beat tape titled “Bring Your Own Weed” in 2022, a journey through Jazz, R&B, and Soul over Hip Hop production. She has everything she needs to make magic in her own home studio and has taught herself how to play the drum pads, keys, and the guitar is next.
