Biography

Dutch Brown, a household name in Harlem, New York, is a seasoned performer, artist, and self-described "rapper's rapper." Dutch brings varied content and solid rap bars to his music, paying homage to the foundation of rap while maintaining his authenticity in both sound and process. His gritty and slick sound, which has moved him from the street ciphers to the studio, is inspired by artists such as DMX, Fabolous, and The Lox, who he heard from start to peak in the music industry. Dutch Brown started his musical career at just 16 years old, recording music with Nym Lo, Smoke DZA, and The Great One. Just two years later, Dutch found himself in the recording studio with Murda Mook, Nym Lo, and T-Rex as a member of the famed Dot Mob. Since those early years, Dutch's sound has matured while still maintaining his street energy. Today, his music and lyrics come from his day-to-day life experiences, frustrations, and challenges. Dutch shies away from following trends in music or otherwise, keeping his foundation in heavy bars while remaining versatile to the changes and evolution of rap around him.
