Swarmius weaves together rock, classical, jazz, folk, world, hip-hop and more. Formed in 2010 by composer Joseph Martin Waters, alto saxophonist Todd Rewoldt and violinist Felix Olschofka, the ensemble has expanded and morphed over the years to include a large roster of extraordinary musicians, and regularly features guest artists. The 2019 core ensemble comprises Waters, Rewoldt, countertenor Rodolfo Giron, pianist-keyboardist Geoffrey Burleson and percussionist Daniel Pate. They have been consistently joined the past several years by tenor saxophonist Ian Buss, along with vocalist-accordionist Nina Deering and baritone Charles Coleman.
