Biography

In 2004, Epikus (Aaron Woodhouse) started his musical journey. Raised in southern California, he was exposed to opportunities to learn music throughout high school. In his senior year, he joined the choir, and started classical voice training. He also began to train in film score composition at the same time, and took off from there. Attending his local community college and taking courses in both voice training and film scoring, he started to learn about the digital audio workstation as well as how to read sheet music, and music theory. In the following years, his voice and composition skills would improve immensely as he delved deeper into the world of music. Starting with his love of the soundtrack to the Lord of the Rings film trilogy (scored by Howard Shore), his love of epic cinematic orchestral music grew to new heights the more he discovered. In 2010, he uncovered the world of Epic Music upon hearing the album Invincible by Two Steps From Hell (as well as other trailer music labels), and began to create music that reflected his passion for the genre. He also began using virtual "sound libraries," namely the East West/Quantum Leap product line, and secured his signature sound. In 2020, Aaron won the BWH Music Group LLC's W.A.M. Awards for Best Concept Album: Voice of Thunder. Aaron "Epikus” Woodhouse will continue to utilize his talents to create the most Epic Music, stories, and experiences! Join the Epikus Warriors on YouTube, and as always: STAY EPIK!
