Biography

Daraja Hakizimana (Born Jan. 10, 1980), is an American record producer, singer, rapper, songwriter, musician, and director from Houston, Texas. Daraja is also one of the core members of Devin The Dude's group The Coughee Brothaz. Known for mostly handling all behind the scenes jobs such as advertisement, branding, management, directing, and producing. Along with performing and song-writing for Devin The Dude & The Coughee Brothaz. Daraja made a big debut on The Coughee Brothaz 1st project Waiting Our Turn[1] and on their 2nd relaese Fresh Brew[2]. Daraja is also the member of the duo R&B, Electronica group Club 803, one of the few trendsetting and acting R&B groups in Houston, Texas R&B scene. Daraja served as the main songwriter and producer, which also featured his friend Geno. In 2000 Daraja went to form his own imprint and independent record label My Block Recordz formerly S.O.B Recordz, which consisted of Kamakazae, That Boy Cayse, S.A.R, Lady Pariah,Teeze Fresh, Smoke Or Die, Kato The Creation, Geno, & JB. In 2010 Daraja created and launched H/Gw19th, an american Southern HipHop on-line magazine primarily based out of Houston, Texas rooted from Heidi Powell Prera's H-Gallery
