The Bul Bey tells the authentic story of Philadelphia native meets global citizen. With the optimism of a school teacher, the honesty of an Imam, and a lexicon only a Philly Bul could truly comprehend, the playful Hip Hop wordsmith's bouncy bars elevate the bright sides of working class life. The energetic Philadelphia wordsmith daylights as the Community Conversation Curator for Philadelphia's PBS and NPR affiliate newsroom at WHYY and the Music Careers Coordinator at The Digilogue. Suffice to say, The Bul Bey has yet to take his foot off the gas.  Emerging in 2015 with his powerful LP Shaking Hands and Kissing Babies, Bey quickly assumed duties as the official host of the wildly popular Friends and Fam party fronted by DJ Matthew Law.  Since then Bey has moved on to work with the likes of !llmind, Like (of Pac Div), Roots Crew affiliate STS and more.  Bey’s travels have found him headlining shows and sharing stages with a diverse selection of celebrated rap veterans, including Lupe Fiasco, Oddisee, Black Milk, Rapsody, Mickey Factz and Joell Ortiz. This summer season saw his community-centered "fruit banger" Apples, Oranges, Bananas delight Philly's festivals and street fairs while new single Limit Edition, one for the collectors, curators, and creatives introduces he's "still the same Bey from break in the day, just doing it different."
