Slex Allen is a man who wears many different hats. Producer, DJ, Songwriter, Singer, Rapper, Beatboxer. But no matter which figurative hat he wears, he does it with innovation and individuality. Slex got his start in the Denver music scene as frontman and co-writer for Denver’s legendary future pop group, OptycNerd. For several years, the duo dropped banger after banger and shared the stage with acts such as Lil Dicky, MAX, Jake Miller, Blink-182, 30 Seconds To Mars, Scott Helman, Neon Dreams to name a few. Now, as a solo artist, Slex Allen has relocated to the vibrant Tampa music scene. And he is locked, loaded and geared up to keep churning out catchy, melody-driven, rhythmic dance music. Drawing influences from artists ranging from Rüfüs Du Sol to Drake, J Dilla to Disclosure, Slex has formulated his own unique brand of musical hot sauce.
