Allavie is an American born singer & songwriter. She grew up in a spiritual community that was deeply influenced by art, yoga, mediation, and many of the world's religions. At the age of 8 she was given the gift of choosing her own name, her "Soul Name." The name Allavie came to her in a meditation as a child when she sat there, surrounded by her beanie babies and asked her self, "What is my soul name?" Instantly she heard the name Allavie, co-creating her new identity with the universe, the root of her name meaning God - Allah. Many of her early spiritual experiences shape her songwriting and song themes as she navigates a world of people not as familiar with spiritual experiences as she is. Allavie began writing at an early age in her diary, gratitudes, poems and stories that told of the world she wished to live in. Where she felt loved, accepted and celebrated. From a very early age knew she wanted to be a performer, though her original love is acting that all changed when she took a song-writing class as a junior at Rollins College. She fell in love with the art of song-writing and hasn't looked back since. As she grew up the music of the 60's and 70's filled her childhood home, played by her parents who were inspired by the tremendously influential music of their generation.
