Laura Roy is a Canadian artist, musician, and Grammy-nominated songwriter known for blending 70’s folk and 90’s R&B into an Alt-R&B and Cinematic Soul-Folk sound. Born and raised in rural Nova Scotia, Canada, and now based in London, UK, she won the East Coast Music Award for Best R&B/Soul Recording of the Year for her EP Forte. Since then, she has released two more EPs, Tides and Odyssey, further honing her distinctive, soulful style. Laura has also performed as a backing vocalist for pop artists Sabrina Carpenter, Anne-Marie, and Camila Cabello. In 2022, she received two Grammy nominations as a songwriter on Doja Cat’s Planet Her album.
