Soprano Gillian Keith is a native Torontonian, based in London. She received her vocal training at the Royal Academy of Music, the Schulich School of Music at McGill University, and the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. A recipient of the Kathleen Ferrier Award and the Singers Award of the Royal Over-Seas League's Annual Music Competition, Keith has performed at the Royal Opera, Covent Garden, the Ópera de Oviedo, the Welsh National Opera, the Royal Opera House, the English National Opera, the Netherlands Opera, the Bregenz Festival, the Buxton Festival, and the Scottish Opera. She has also performed in concert at the BBC Proms, and sung with the Royal Northern Sinfonia, Ars Lyrica Houston, the Handel and Haydn Society of Boston, The Sixteen, and the Birmingham Contemporary Music Group. Keith has also presented a special recital program, Debussy and His Muse, at Wilton’s Music Hall, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and the Buxton Festival. She has recorded for Champs Hill Records, Chandos, Signum Classics, Channel Classics, and Deux-Elles.
