Being a student of hip-hop since his childhood, his inspiration comes from old school hit sensations such as Spice-1, Too $hort, E-40 and 2Pac, to underground legends like Living Legends, Andre Nickatina and Brotha Lynch Hung, to the mainstream hit artists of the east coast and south. Dubious's perspective on life and overcoming challenges inspires lives and makes the listener feel his emotions. He connects with his audience and gives an alternative approach to the mainstream hip-hop message.
