Stagnant Smoke is a one-piece Hardcore Punk / Midwest band from South of South Bend, IN, that combines the emotional raw vocals of revivalist acts such as Tiny Moving Parts, Midwest Pen Pals and William Bonney, with the humor-induced speed of 90s-2000s Tony Hawk Pro Skater soundtracks featuring Sum 41, Guttermouth, and blink-182. Started out as a Tigers Jaw knock-off band in 2017, Stagnant Smoke is slowly shifting away from the Midwest emo lyrical content in exchance for a more post-punk positive mindset on mental demons in the form of Opera Punk. The best medicine is humor and whether it's from musical monkey memes or white-knuckle raw freestyles, just remember to try to have some fun with it. After releasing the debut album Backyard Beehive in 2020, Stagnant Smoke expanded by creating South of South Records. A label based primarily on the guerilla. South of South Records isn't limited to one genre, and works with artists from the Acoustic, Grindcore, Synthwave, and ETG scenes. By the end of Sept. Stagnant Smoke is hoping to have new albums released.
