Biography

Mia Dimšić is a singer-songwriter based in Croatia, as well as the country’s 2022 Eurovision act. It was the peak of her whirlwind career that started October 12th, 2015, the day she released her first single 'Budi mi blizu' (Stay close to me), co-written with her ongoing collaborators Vjekoslav Dimter and Damir Bačić, and signed a record deal with Croatian major record label 'Croatia Records'. In 2017, she released her debut album 'Život nije siv' (Life ain't grey), named after her up-to-date biggest hit, and it went on to become the best-selling album in Croatia for two successive years and be certified gold. It also brought her 6 Porin (Croatian Grammy-equivalent) awards, including those for Album of the Year and Song of the Year for its announcing single 'Bezimeni' (The Nameless) in 2018. It enabled a couple of extensive tours and was followed by the chart-topping Christmas album 'Božićno jutro' in the same year, as well as her sophomore 'Sretan put' (Bon Voyage) in 2019, which went on to become the best-selling album a year later. In 2020, she also wrote her first book titled 'Cesta do sna' (A road to the dream). In November 2023, her debut album in English called Monologue, announced by her Eurovision entry, the acoustic pop-ballad 'Guilty Pleasure', was released. It reached the top 5 bestselling Croatian albums of 2024 chart and an album of the year nomination. Her newest edition and the fifth record altogether, 'Društvena pravila' (Social norms), just came out.
