The 'Disarm Hate x Poetry' project saw 16 leading LGBTQ poets respond to Rugged Entertainment's 2020 documentary 'Disarm Hate'. The poets were commissioned by Nymphs & Thugs Recording Co. and the project was part-funded by Arts Council England. The documentary follows a group of LGBTQ activists on a road trip from LA to DC, where they've organised a national rally called 'Disarm Hate'. This was organised in the wake of the Orlando massacre, which saw 49 people killed at the Pulse nightclub in Florida. This album was released on the five-year anniversary of the massacre. All profits from this album will be split between Contigo Fund in the US and Stonewall UK.
