Kerby Diaz, better known as KERU, is a Los Angeles based Heavy Bass Music artist that is currently working his way to the top of the Los Angeles EDM scene not only as a producer but as a DJ as well. As part of the new generation of EDM artists, he classifies his sound as Hyper Sharp Basses with Cutting Edge drums. His journey as a musician began at the age of 4 when introduced to accordion. At age 8 he decided to switch over to Clarinet which gave him the opportunity to tour with top Wind Ensembles and Orchestras. Soon after graduating from High School, he decided to embark into the world of EDM and began to take music production very seriously. Working hard on his new sound he was able to gain support from Panda Eyes, beastboi, and Nasko. His efforts have also landed him record deals with The Bass Space, Klusta Funk Kollective, Secret Nightlife Records, and has had the chance to collaborate with heavy hitters such as iFeature, Wheysted, and ASTRA. 2022 was undeniably KERU’s biggest year yet. After his rebrand into the KERU project he immediately released his debut EP “BUSTED”. Turning heads with his EP he was invited by Secret Nightlife Records (S.N.R.) to participate in a desert rave called Social Desert in which he sent the crowd into a frenzy with every set. Partnering up with S.N.R. he was able to hop on livestream shows and most recently got to play a B2B set with Wheysted at Bass Head LA in October, a new underground LA show with Pixel Terror as the headliner.
