Born 1/20/87 and raised in Philadelphia, 35 year old rapper Wyise has built a loyal online following through a series of popular underground songs, mixtapes, and features. Mixing lyrical wordplay with an aggressive style of delivery, Wyise falls into a unique genre of storytelling rap - quality street music. Wyise has been writing raps since the age of 12, but started taking music seriously after his release from prison at 25. He got to work straight away, releasing his first mixtape, “Hood Mayor”, and starting his own lifestyle brand, ‘Nothing Alike’ (NA). The company’s name is a message to people of all ages: it’s okay to be different. Nothing Alike also served as the title of his breakout 2016 mixtape, and it’s 2017 sequel “Nothing Alike 2”. That same year, he also released a joint project with long-time collaborator Reed Dollaz, titled “Bullet Proof Luv”. In addition to rapping, Wyise is also the founder of the popular web series Back Seat Barz. The show gives local unsigned artists the opportunity to show off their skills and get discovered by a larger audience. After a 2 year wait, his next project “Nothing Alike 3” is set to be released by Jan. 2020
