For Kim the III, music isn’t just something he stumbled upon, it’s been an integral part of his life since a young age. He grew up with his parents both involved in the industry with his mom being a singer and his dad being a DJ, exposing the rapper to the expressive nature of the craft. Kim the III’s aspirations are simple; to relate to others through his artistry and become one of the best to ever do it. Kim, born Kim Eleby Jr., is an Atlanta based rapper who grew up mostly in Gwinnett County where he would often drive around with his father listening to hip hop icons like Nas as a young child, but it wasn’t until he was 16 that he’d start rapping himself. When he turned 17, his mother passed away, and the experience pushed him to take music more seriously. By 2019, Kim the III was releasing his first full length project and working with the collective inHouseATL to further push his music. On his recently released record “Bubble”, produced by D. Sheats, his unique sound shines through as he’s known to lace each track he’s on with his signature slick flow and playful delivery. Fans may have caught on to Kim the III’s wave from his track “Lingo” featuring Key!, which boasts over 15,000 plays on Soundcloud, but he’s preparing to drop a brand new single titled “ON” in December and a new project at the top of 2022.
