SIGA (alias Siege Phunk), was born in Zola an infamous township in Soweto (South Africa). As a kid, SIGA was musically influenced by Kwaito and Bubblegum music which has Pantsula uncle used to play a lot on cassette and CD. At a later stage SIGA started listening to radio and collecting music. He dubbed his first tape of "Casablancas" (a type of house from Pretoria) and never looked back! Fast, forward, SIGA started music production and by fiddling on the mic he then realized that he has the potential of becoming a recording artist, using his Kwaito influence and ghetto style as a technique and signature sound. In 2022 SIGA released a Kwaito album as way of paying homage and showing gratitude to Kwaito and the Legends that came before him. SIGA has since appeared in features and is set to release an EP and several EP's this year.
