Prolific St. Louis collective Farfetched , Smoke Signal Studios - a music studio owned and operated by Phillip Agnew of Dream Defenders and community organizer training org CTWO combined efforts to present Subvert Volume 1 releasing on August 28th. The collaborative project is thought-provoking and lyrically eclectic. It evokes the passion and ethos of FarFetched and its founder -- producer and interdisciplinary artist Damon Davis, The new album centers around the integration of music and activism - showcasing artists vigorously involved within the forefront of their communities. 
 Over two years, the Emmy award-winning visionary, Damon Davis produced and curated the album to deliver a body of work dedicated to the people involved in the movement for Black Lives. These artists acknowledge the reclamation of power and the struggle for personal achievement in inner cities such as his hometown in St. Louis and East St. Louis. Despite the adversity of the realities of our times: a global pandemic, tragic police brutality across the nation and other deeply rooted issues of oppression; the team of NephiiLove, Katarra Parson, Prophet, and Poet X alongside A'Viana Naree and Asa the Artist amplify the message of consistent and organized activism in order to create change through our continued calls to action through music.
