SAMMY ROYAL Sammy Royal is a South African Recording Artist, Dj, Record Producer and Businessman. Born in 1973 (in Winterveldt Pretoria) as Mashapa Samuel Machete. Sammy Royal is also a member of a due called ‘CELETONE’ which was formed in 2023. Sammy Royal has been active in the music and creative industry since 1997 as one of the greatest role players in South African reggae scene and market. Sammy Royal is from a musical family and was mentored by his late father Mr Phineas Machete who was a traditional Pedi singer and Self-taught harp player (Dipela) from the late 70’s until the late 90’s. Sammy Royal is a self-taught keyboard player and guitarist.
